Dramatic Sunset E-mail
Last night's sunset was literally the most dramatic I've ever seen. From the Caribbean to Alaska, Hawaii and Moorea, I have witnessed and photographed some amazing spectacles.

But last night's sunset at Hendry's Beach in Santa Barbara was truly stunning. Let me try to describe.

The clouds were ruckus and torn with sharp defined edges. They were creeping along from east to west with emphatic marching orders. The western sky was still clear and blue, but to the east, the air was heavy with misty fog.

As the sun started to drop, it's rich golden color was illuminating the foggy air with glowing magic dust. I kept looking forward, then behind me, unable to decide which was more omniscient. I photographed forward towards the sky because the glowing foggy mist was just something to experience, not so photogenic.

I was able to capture two panoramic images (approx 8 images a piece), taken about ten minutes apart. You can see them in the Panorama Gallery here. I've posted one of them on the home page slide show.
